Main chamaron ki gali tak le chaloonga aapko ...Adam Gondvi (1947-2011)

Adam Gondvi is no more. Suffering from Liver cirrhosis he died last week in a hospital in Lucknow. Adam always voiced his anger against rampant corruption in politics and helplessness of the poor people in our system. He was a person who loved villages and lived like a villager throughout his life.Two of his books Samay Se Muthbhed & Dharti ki Satah Par were quite popular.


Critics regarded him as the torchbearer of Hindi Ghazals after Dushyant Kumar. In fact Adam was more terse and specific in his attacks on the social injustice and rampant degradation of politics. 



Today in his memory I want to share with you his famous poem regarding exploitation of dalits in a village dominated by upper caste in my voice. The poem starts with the line Main chamaron ki gali tak le chaloonga aapko .. The poem is a moving story in itself. The poem was based on a true incident in UP.

Adam Gondvi is no more but I hope his poetry will always propel us to fight against injustice in our present system in years to come.

Saiffudin Saif....: Jab tere Shahar Se Guzarta Hoon..A podcast in my voice...

Saiffudin Saif.... I didn't know  much about the poet until I happened to listen to Garche sou baar gham e hijra se jaan gujri hai..phir bhi dil pe jo guzarni thi kahan guzri hai in the soothing voice of Runa Laila.  As I started searching about Saif I found that he was a well known poet in Amritsar in pre partition era. After independence he moved to Pakistan and became part of film industry there. He wrote several memorable lyrics. If you are interested in reading more about Saif Click Here.

Some of his songs are even popular to this date. It is a well known fact that Saif was heart broken when his lady love left him to go to another city. In her memory Saif wrote jab tere shahar se guzarta hoon... Its a long nazm but when one goes through it,  the reader gets the glimpses of emotional upheaval which the poet had gone through.. I have written the whole nazm here in Hindi.

Ibne Insha aur chand ke tamannayi..

chaand ki 'tamanna' karne vaale shayaron ki kabhi kami nahin rahi. ab gulzar ki hi baat karen unake geet hon ya nazamen ghoom fir kar baat chaand par hi aa tikti hai। par har baar vo chaand ko ek alag hi andaaz bhinna bhinna roopakon men is khoobasoorati se hamare samaksh rakhte hain ki kuch doharaya hua sa nahin lagata. baat gar pakistani shayaron ki ho to chaand premi shayaron men ibne insha bhi aage khade dikhaai dete hain. chaand ibne insha ke priya pratikon men to tha hi unhonnen chaand ko kendrabindu men rakhakar kai nazamen  kahin। masalan katik ka chaand, usi chaand ki khoj men, udas rat ke aangan men, us aangan ka chaand. par ibne insha ki chaand par kahi nazamon men mujhe chaand ke tamannaai padhna sabse zayada sukoon deta hai.

dil roopi ye nagar itana khali khali kabhi na tha. ye to ek pyara sa gaanv tha jisamen zaindagi hansi khushi basar ho rahi thi। aaj man roopi aakash men ek tarah ki shoonyata hai jise udaasi ke baadalon ne charon or se gher rakha hai। hridaya ke is khali ghade men na to pyar ki koi jyot jal rahi hai aur na hi bevafaai se upaji peeda. par logon ka kya hai vo to dil ke is mijaaz ko bhaanpe bina apani khamakhayali se kitani kahaniyan gadhte ja rahe hain।

mausam beetate jaate hain। garmiyan sardiyon men tabdeel ho gayi hain। par raaten to vahi hain jinamen ab sannaton ki goonj hai। dil un gamageen raton men  doston ki sohabat me bhi sukoon nahin paata। chaandani raton men chaand ki aas rakhne vaale ye ekaki man isi tanhaai men apane aap ko dubo lena chahate hain। apane jazabaaton ko fir se tatolna chahate hain। shayad sardiyon ka ye peela chaand unake man ki ye muraad poori kare। vaise bhi us chaand se tanaha bhala aur kaun hai?

Ibne Insha : Ye Bachcha Kiska Bachcha Hai ?

Do saal pahle ibne insha ki rachanaaon kopadhte samay unki ye lanbi si kavita padhi thi. ek baar padhne ke baad kavita itani pasand aai thi ki kai kai baar padhi aur har baar antim panktiyon tak pahunchte pahunchte man men ek tees ubhar aati thi. kavita to sahej kar rakh li thi aur socha tha ki is saal bal divas ke avasar par aap tak ise jaroor pahunchaoonga par pichhale do hafton men ghar ke baahar rahane ki vajah se ye karya samay par sanbhav na ho saka.



pakistan ke is mashahoor shayar aur vyangyakaar ki nazamon aur kavitaon men ek aisi saadagi rahati hai jisake aakarshan men kya khaas, kya aam sabhi khinche chale aate hain. sher mohammad khan ke nam se ludhiyane men janme ibne insha ki ginti ese chuninda kaviyon men hoti hai jinhen hindi aur urdu donon bhashaon par samaan roop se maharat thi. isaliye kabhi kabhi unki rachanaaon ko kavita ya nazam ki paribhasha men baandhana mushkil ho jata hai.

saat chhndon ki is kavita men ibne insha bachche ki badahali ka varnan karte hue badi khoobi se pathakon ke dilon ko jhakajhorte hue unka dhyaan vishva men faili aarthik asamaanta par dilaate hain aur fir ve ye sandesh bhi dena nahin bhoolte ki vibhinn mazahabon aur deshon ki seemaon men bante hone ke baavazaood ham sab usi aadam ki santaane hain jisase ye srishti shuru hui thi. lihaza duniya ka har bachcha hamara apana bachcha hai aur usaki jarooraton ko poora karne ka daayitva is vishb ki samast manav jaati par hai.

Jagjit Singh Ki Gayi Ghazalon Ka Safar, Part -II : Jhoom Ke Jab Rindon Ne Pila Dee

Pichhali post men mainne Jagjit saahab ki gaai jis ghazal ka jikra kiya tha vo unake album 'Visions' se li gai thi. apane albumon ke nam Jagjit hamesha angreji men hi rakha karte the. 1976 se ye silasila chala to 1998 men javed akhtar ke saath kiye ge unake album 'silasila' pe jaakar ruka. isake baad unake albums ke nam urdu men hone lage. khaair main baat kar raha tha 1992 men aae unake album 'Visions' ki.

Tips dvara release kiye is dohare cassete album ko mainne kitani dafa suna hoga ye yaad nahin. yad rah gaie to isaki gazalen. solah ghazalon ke is guladaste ki shuruaat Jagjit saahab ne ki thi kaif bhopali ke kalam se. is ghazal ka sangeet sanyojan adbhut tha aur chhote bahar ki is behatareen ghazal ke aanand ko doona kar deta tha.

Aap aaye to khayal-e-dil-e-nashad aaya : Mahendra Kapoor, Sahir aur Ravi ki tikdi ki anupam sougaat !

Kal Jagjit Singh ki gaai ek ghazal ki talash men You Tube pe nikala tha ki bhatakte-bhatakte ye geet saamane aa gaya. ab ise sune ek arsa ho gaya tha. dobara suna to isaki girafat se nikalna mushkil tha. aajakal kitane geeton men ye madda hai ki vo paanch minat ke andar hi darshakon ko nayak nayika ke prem, bevafaai aur virah ki poori kahani kah jaayen. par agar geetakar koi aur nahin, Sahir Ludhyanavi jaisa sanjida shayar ho to unake liye ye zara bhi mushkil kaam nahin raha hoga.

Gumraah film ke yoon to saare geet hi charchit hue the, par redio par baki geeton ki tulna men Mahendra Kapoor ka gaya ye geet kam hi baja hai. sangeetakaar Ravi ke sangeet nirdeshan men Mahendra Kapoor ke gaaye geet hamesha se jyada lokapriya hue hain. geet ke aaranbh ka sangeet sanyojan ka andaza aap geet ke vidio se bhi laga sakte hain. vo yug tha pratyaksh yaanilive recording ka. ab kya kisi geet ki recording ke pahle vaailin, sitaar aur baansuri vaadakon ka samooh dikhta hai jaisa ki is geet ke vidiyo ke aaranbh men dikhaya gaya hai.

Par isi dashak men unhonne ye nirnay liya ki vo sirf malayalam filmon ke liye baanbe Ravi ke naam se sangeet nirdeshit karenge. apani pratibha ke bal par Ravi malayalam filmon men diye apane sangeet se bhi chha ge. aaj bhi purane zamane ki tarah Ravi pahle geetakaron dvara likhe geeton ko sunkar hi usake anuroop sangeet dete hain. vidhivat sangeet ki shiksha na lete hue bhi Ravi ji ne apane liye jo mukaam banaya hai vo unake liye kya kisi bhi sangeetakaar ke liye garv ka vishaya ho sakta hai.

Filahaal to Mahendra Kapoor ke gaaye is geet ki roomaniyat men doobiye aur shabaasi deejie saahir,Ravi aur Kapoor saahab ki is tikadi ko jinake sammilit prayas se ye geet itana jaandaar ban pada hai. par usake pahle meri aavaaz men suniye is geet ke mukhade aur antre ki gunagunahat...

Seene mein jalan aankhon mein tufaan saa kyon hain ?

Roz Sapne Dekh, lekin is Qadar Pyare na Dekh : Dushyant Kumar ki Ek Prernadayak Ghazal..

Veer ras ki kavitayen to bachpan se hi padate sunate aaye hain. Dinakar ya Subhadra Kumari Chauhan jaise kavi kavayitriyon ki rachanayen chhutapan se hi hamari shiraon men rakt pravah ko tej kar deti thin.

Faiz ki kaee nazmein isi shreni ki rahi hain par jab ghazalon ke bare men sochata hoon to mere zehan men dushyant kumar ji ki kaee ghazalein ek sath ubhar kar saamne aati hain.

Dushyant ji ne is ghazal ke har sher men vibhinn roopakon ki madad se is baat ko purzor dhang se rakha hai.

Aankhein Ladane se Parhez to Nahin to Suniye Naa : Aye Husn e Lalafaam Zara Aankh to Mila...

Pichhli post mein mainne jikr chheda tha ek aisi ghazal ka jise mere liye yadagar banane ka shrey Ghulam Ali se jyada Abhijeet Savant ko jata hai. Par aaj ki ye behad roomani ghazal, Ghulam Ali ki gaee meri pasandida ghazalon men se ek hai. Jab bhi ise sunta hoon mood men ranginiyat khud-b-khud sama jati hai.

Sabse pahle is ghazal ko sunane ka mauka 1996 men mila tha jab main Roorkee University ke chhatravas men raha karta tha. Shighra hi mainne ise ek blank cassette men ise record kar apne paas surakshit kar liya tha. Kuchh salon tak to ye ghazal baraha suni gaee aur fir sidi yug aate hi baki kaisaton ki tarah kahin kone men dubak gaee. Bad mein ek mitra ki sahayta se mujhe ye digital form mein mujhe mili.

To chalen ab is ghazal ke sunein Ghulam Ali ki aawaaz mein. Ghulam Ali sahab matle ki shuruaat kuchh yoon karate hain..

Suno achchha nahin lagta ... in my voice

Kya aap apane kisi priy ke prati Possessive hain?
vaise to ham sabhi hote hain kabhi chhoti si kisi vastu ke liye to kabhi apane kisi khas ke liye. par ye Possessiveness kuchh jyada ho jaye to vahi hal hota hai jo is shayar ka ho raha hai.... dil ki majabooriyon ko bhala kaun lagam de sakata hai.
Par aisa rog na hi lage to behatar varna 'Possessiveness' ka ye kida dukh bhi bahut deta hai.

is rachna ka ek hissa bahut pahale mujhe apani ek post par tippani ke roop men mila tha. jab poora pada to laga ki hai to sadi si nazm par dil ko chhooti huee isiliye ise aaj aap sab ke sath bant raha hoon

Is nazm ki bhavanaon ko apani aavaj men utarane ki koshish ki hai. padhte vakt do jagah bhoolen huee hain kyonki recording ke samay sahi bol mere paas nahin the baad men jab najm utarane baitha to dekha ki tajakara ki jagah tajakira aur tumhare lams pe jayen ki jagah arth ke hisab se tumhara lams pa jayen hona chahiye. aasha hai aap ise najaraandaj kar denge.

Mohabbaton ka Shayar Qateel Shifai V : Raqs karne ka mila hukm jo darayaon mein

"..............is prakar ham dekhate hain ki doosare mahayuddh ke bad naee pidhi ke jo shayar badi teji se ubhare aur jinhonne urdu ki ‘roti-bisoorati’ shayari ke sir men antim kil thonkane, vishv ki pratyek vastu ko samajik prshthabhoomi men dekhane aur urdu shayari ki naee dagar ko adhik-se-adhik safa, sundara, prakashaman banane men badh-chadhakar hissa liya, unamen ‘Qateela’ shifaee ka vishesh sthan hai. balki sangeetadharmi chhandon ke chunava, chust sammishran aur gunagunate shabdon ke prayog ke karan use shayaron ke dal mein se turant pahachana ja sakata hai.

samaya, anubhav aur sahity ki pragatishil dhara se sambandhit hone ke bad jis parinam par vah pahuncha, usaki aaj ki shayari usi ki pratik hai. usaki aaj ki shayari samay ke saj par ek surila rag hai- vah raga, jisamein prem-pida, vanchana ki kasak aur kranti ki pukara, sabhi kuchh vidyaman hai. usaki aaj ki shayari samaja, dharm aur rajy ke sunahale kalashon par manaviy-bandhutv ke gayak ka vyangy hai......."


Prakash Pandit dvara Qateel shifaee ke liye kahe gaye ye shabd sahi mayene mein unaki shayari ko saragarbhit karate hain. mohabbaton ke is shayar ne apane lekhan mein prem ke aalava bhi any vishayon ka samavesh kiya. misal ke taur par unaki is ghazal par gaur karen..

ab agala jo sher hai vo aap tabhi samajh payenge jab aapako islam dharm se judi is katha ke bare mein aapako pata ho. mujhe ye janakari ek pustak se mili use jyon ka tyon aap tak pahuncha raha hoon. to janab yoosuf hajarat yakoob ke putr the jo param sundar the aur jinhen unake bhaiyon ne eershyavash bech diya tha. aage chal kar in par mishr ki rani julaikha aasakt ho gaeen thin aur ve mishr ke raja ban gaye. unaki aur julaikha ki kahani ko aam jindagi mein manhagaee ki samasya ke sath kis tarah piroya hai Qateel ne ye dekhen aap is sher mein...

hausala kisamein hai yusuf ki kharidari ka
ab to manhagaee ke charche hai julaikhaon mein


aur jab tivi chainal se lekar patr patrikayen sab aapake bhagy ki khushahali bayan kar rahi hon aur aapake din nagavar gujar rahe hon to ye sher kya aap nahin kahana chahenge..

jis barahaman ne kaha hai ke ye sal achchha hai
us ko dafnao mere hath ki rekhaon mein


vo khuda hai kisi toote huye dil mein hoga
masjidon mein use dhoondho n kalisaon mein


bharat aur pak ke logon ke bich mein divar khadi karane vale shasak varg ke bare mein vo kahate hain...

ham ko aapas mein muhabbat nahin karane dete
ik yahi aib hai is shahar ke danaon mein


aur fir vapas apane rang mein lautate huye ye yad dilana bhi nahin bhoolate :)..

mujhase karate hain "Qateela" is liye kuchh log hasad
kyon mere sher hain makabool hasinaon mein

kyoon na is behatarin ghazal ko khud Qateel ki aavaj men suna jaye...




11 th July 2001 ko Qateel is duniya se kooch kar gaye. apane 81varshon ke is jivan ke safar men unake karib bis kavy sangrah chhape aur karib 2500 geet hindi aur pakistani filmon ka hissa bane. mohabbat ke ehasas ko purajor dhang se apane kavy men dhalane vale is shayar ko ham sab kabhi nahin bhula payenge. khud Qateel ne kaha tha..

Qateela’ apani jaban kabu men rakhana
sukhan se aadami pahachana jaye


aaj is shrrnkhala ke samapan par Qateel shifaee ki ek geetanuma ghazal yad aa rahi hai jise gunagunana mujhe behad pasand hai. daraasal jindagi men pahali bar intaranet ka prayog mainne isi ghazal ko khojane ke liye kiya tha. isaka matala behad khoobasoorat hai

pyar tumhara bhool to jaoon, lekin pyar tumhara hai
ye ik mitha jahar sahi, ye jahar bhi aaj gavara hai


yoon to is ghazal ko talat ajij sahab ne gaya hai par aaj isake kuchh ashaaaron ko jheliye meri aavaj men :) !



aasha hai Qateel shifaee ke bare men panch kishton ki ye peshakash aapako pasand aaee hogi...
